So many of our authors and their imaginations and their inspirations and their experiences overlap and reflect each other. They manifest similarly but with great individual flair, and as editors, we are lucky enough to pick them out, which makes us even more excited about the anthology.
We really hope that you take the opportunity to unearth those connections and threads.
Even the structure in the anthology creates a story of its own—something that was both easy and difficult with the way they all interlocked. And that’s a good note for us to make: the order of the stories does not indicate strengths or weaknesses in the bunch. They’re all excellent stories, or we wouldn’t be publishing them, and we hoped to begin and end with specific notes that allowed the complicated journey between.
Needless to say, this is a special collection.
