Hey feisty ones! Many know that I am the intern here at Transmundane Press. Well, as the spring semester of college ends, I wondered what would happen to my internship. Luckily, I have an awesome boss who told me I can stay. Alisha is an extremely hard-worker. Behind the scenes, she works everyday usually with only a food break. She is this best person I know. So, I would like to dedicate this blog post to praise my boss/mentor/professor.
I have never met someone with such an open, caring heart. She has taught me so much in the span of a few months that will open countless doors for me.
Let me give show a breakdown in Alisha week. (During the school semester):
Monday, Wednesday, Friday—wakes up 7am, teaches class from 9am to 12:00pm. 12:00pm-1:30pm—grocery shopping and drive home.
2pm-6pm—work at the press.
6:45pm-10pm—work at the press.
Tuesday/Thursday’s—eats, sleeps, breaths the press, unless she has grading. Works all day long.
Many may see that as a bit too much, but she loves it. She is her happiest in front of her computer screen talking to all of you and working on her latest projects.
So, I would like to say thank you, Alisha, for teaching me what you know, and learning everything you didn’t with me. I will be forever grateful for this opportunity, and I cannot wait till the day I see Transmundane’s books in stores.
Most importantly, thank you for allowing me to stay even though my internship is up. Thank you for always asking my opinion and showing me what I did wrong and how to fix it instead of just saying it’s wrong. And most importantly for being someone I look up to.
The Intern Diaries are here to stay.
To Anthony, thank you for allowing these things to happen and letting Alisha run wild and free (most of the time).
Also, who else has a boss as cool as Alisha. Tag them in the comments below.
